This is also a commercial that runs on a cable station in St. Ignace.

GarLyn zoo was started in 1994. Built on old sand dunes at the northern most point of Lake Michigan. The zoo blends well with the natural surroundings, towering red and white pine, birch and maple forests of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. For the most part the zoo has been built by hand and most of the trees and gently rolling terrain have been left as nature intended. At the present time the zoo covers about 10 acres of the 30 acres that it sets on.
Plans for expansion are always in the works.
For most visitors it takes about an hour to an hour and a half to enjoy but you can stay as long as you like. Photograph your family and the animals as the children spend time feeding them, then take time to browse the gift shop. Benches are provided along the shady aisles for your relaxing pleasure.

(Grain and apples available for purchased in the gift shop, sorry, no outside food  can be brought in to feed to the animals)
