The zoo has 2 Alligator. These animals are all rescue animals.

     One of the alligators is about 17 years old and about seven foot long, the other alligator is 12 to 14 years old and now about 5 feet long. Both were given to us as a result of becoming too much for the owners to handle. Both of these animals are outside only about 5 to 5 1/2 months a year. The alligator have heated water to get into in the evenings to stay warm. They enjoy basking in the sun during the days. We have built a building to house the Alligator, Tortoise, Lemur and other animals that require heat. This building has indoor and outdoor areas so that the animals will not have to be moved during the winter months.
