We decided to dress up the front entrance in 2005 so we constructed a waterfall and stream and added a new sign. Here are some pictures as the waterfall progressed. We went with a pondless design.

First a pit was dug to hold the pumps and water
and the largest rocks were placed.

The waterfall units were placed and rocks were built up the front.

Next the second waterfall unit was placed and a stream was built
using rubber pond liner.

The final rocks and smaller stones were put in.

Rocks were put in to create a bedding.

Now the fun part. Get water for the waterfall.

After days of trial and error. Pounding and pounding, driving the point to 35 feet deep then snap! the point broke off and we started over again. 2nd try and we hit water at 14 feet deep and stopped.

Look for our sign and waterfall on US-2

It may not look like it in this picture but the waterfall is about
5 feet high and 5 feet wide

Here is a short video clip of Matt driving the well point.
This was our Fred Flintstone method. We did resort to a hydraulic post pounder mounted on the tractor for the final results.
