New Additions for 2009
We have a pair of Kinkajou. We have had these for
over a year but will be trying to get them out in the gift shop this
year. They require temperatures to be above 65 degrees and have
been kept in a heated building and not viewed by visitors. They
will not be allowed outside much in the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan.

We also now have a male African Serval. He
is about 12 years old and a little hissy but he is one beautiful
animal.

In the fall we also took in 3 male alpaca from an elderly
lady that can no longer take care of them. These will be a great
addition for children to feed and pet.

The Alpaca were a little nervous of all the new sights and
sounds when first introduced at the zoo. Hear is what they had
to say.
